Dynamics in the family farming production systems in the Semi-Arid Sertão of Bahia, Brazil[Dinámica de los sistemas de producción de la agricultura familiar en el Sertão Semiárido de Bahía, Brasil]

This paper, called Dynamics of family agricultural production systems in the semiarid sertão of Bahia, Brazil, is based on the Agrarian System Analyze-diagnostic Method to calculate the agricultural and non-agricultural incomes from the family agriculture in the Municipality of Pintadas, semiarid sertão of Bahia. The aim is to comprehend how the production subsystems integrate with each other and into the market under the family management unit. The economic results are translated to agricultural and non-agricultural incomes of family farmers, classified in their amplified reproduction level in four studied types when the total incomes are considered, and, in three cases, the agricultural production systems are classified in the amplified reproduction level and, in one case, in the simple reproduction level, considering only the agricultural income. The empirical research is based on theoretical reflections that are related to the studied object and demonstrates the arguments and conclusive affirmations with emphasis on the direct qualified interviews in the field with the family farmers, cooperative managers, and public managers, using the interviews by videoconference.
