Abstract

**L'indicateur de vulnérabilité physique au changement climatique (PVCCI) mesure les chocs climatiques et l'exposition des pays (PVCCI national) et de leurs territoires (PVCCI Subnational) à ces chocs.** Depuis 2001, la Ferdi calcule et met à jour un indicateur de vulnérabilité physique au changement climatique (PVCCI). Ce travail a fait l'objet de plusieurs documents de travail, de brèves avant d'être publié dans *Ecological Economics* ([Feindouno, Guillaumont et Simonet, 2020](https://ferdi.fr/publications/the-physical-vulnerability-to-climate-change-index-an-index-to-be-used-for-international-policy)).\ \ Le PVCCI mesure les risques géophysiques auxquels font face les pays en raison du changement climatique. Il est un indice structurel car reposant sur des facteurs exogènes qui sont indépendants des politiques présentes et futures des pays. Il a donc vocation à être utilisé dans la définition de l'[indice de vulnérabilités multidimensionnelles.](https://ferdi.fr/donnees/indice-de-vulnerabilite-multidimensionnelle)\ \ L'indice est construit pour 191 pays, et dans le but de mettre en évidence l'hétérogénéité de la vulnérabilité physique des territoires au changement climatique, un PVCCI désagrégé au niveau infranational a été récemment calculé ([Goujon, Santoni et Wagner, 2022](https://ferdi.fr/publications/the-physical-vulnerability-to-climate-change-index-computed-at-the-sub-national-level)).
