Abstract

This article presents a systematic literature review on corporate digital responsibility (CDR), based on a corpus of 81 articles published between 2020 and 2025. Descriptive results point to a sharp acceleration in publications since 2024. The analysis highlights three levels of structuration: (1) definitions that frame CDR as a set of principles and norms guiding the design, use, and governance of technologies and data; (2) a multidimensional scope in which the socioethical dimension is most prominent; and (3) contrasting articulations between CSR and CDR. To make these findings more tangible, the article mobilizes a maritime analogy (moral compass, consent compass, reliability anchor) and proposes a research agenda focused on operationalizing CDR and on shared responsibility among the relevant actors.
