Abstract

Le maître-mot de flexibilité des prix s'adosse à la loi de l'offre et de la demande en tant qu'algorithme d'ajustement selon le signe de la demande excédentaire agrégée. En dépit de la découverte négative de Sonnenschein, Mantel et Debreu, il tient lieu de ressource tacite majeure. L'objet de cet article est de montrer que l'échec de la démonstration de la stabilité globale, systématiquement confiné dans l'oubli par la discipline de l'équilibre de Lucas, prive le référentiel du marché de fondements. La demande excédentaire agrégée possède des formes quelconques impropres à définir la tendance des marchés à s'autoréguler. Faute de principes de formation des prix, les seuls théorèmes d'existence et de bien-être du modèle Arrow-Debreu qui servent de normes à cette discipline, ne sont pas en mesure d'assurer le passage déductif à des politiques économiques prônant l'efficacité concurrentielle.
