Abstract

Les images sont de plus en plus souvent invitées dans les études sur les organisations. Toutefois, lorsqu'elles donnent à voir des vulnérabilités, injustices, inégalités et crises, elles posent, ou reposent différemment, de redoutables questions éthiques, politiques et esthétiques. Placés devant certaines images, nous sentons que les analyser, les expliquer, les capturer dans un concept nôtre serait inconvenant. Appelons images- visages celles portant un dire plus originaire que leur légende, une proximité qui nous empêche de détourner le regard et qui exige réponse – un dire qui résiste ou se dissout à l'analyser, qui gardera toujours sa part d'étrange et d'étranger. Appelons images-rivages, celles qui nous transportent à l'orée d'un monde inconnu, fort d'une liminalité potentiellement transformatrice – rivage séduisant, affectant, intrigant, qui nous appelle à l'exploration.
