Tourisme en Asie du Sud‑Est, la reprise post‑Covid au défi du climat

Abstract

Au cours des dernières décennies, l'industrie touristique a été le secteur le plus porteur de croissance dans les pays du Sud-Est asiatique : entre 2000 et 2019, le nombre total de visites dans l'Asean a augmenté progressivement, passant de 39,1 millions de personnes à 143,5 millions, avec un taux de croissance annuel moyen de 6,7 %. En dix ans, de 2010 à 2019, la contribution du tourisme au PIB a presque doublé, augmentant de 197,3 milliards de dollars à 393,12 milliards de dollars – et atteignant ainsi les 12 % du PIB de l'Asean à la fin de cette période.
