Abstract

Au fil des décennies, le capitalisme familial a persisté malgré les prédictions contraires, s'enracinant profondément dans le paysage économique mondial. L'ouvrage explore cette pérennité à travers une analyse interdisciplinaire (sciences de gestion et histoire) des entreprises familiales. Il traite les questions théoriques et méthodologiques rencontrées dans la compréhension des entreprises familiales, en raison de leur nature multidimensionnelle. Il insiste sur l'importance d'équilibrer les aspects financiers et non financiers de la performance pour assurer leur continuité. Il examine le rôle du genre en leur sein en mettant en évidence les défis et les opportunités liés à la transmission entre générations. Ces différentes perspectives offrent une compréhension méthodologique, économique et historique des mécanismes de pérennité des entreprises familiales.
