Abstract

Cette étude évalue le potentiel du serious gaming comme levier d'enseignement théorique de la géopolitique. À travers une expérimentation menée auprès de 22 étudiants répartis en deux groupes, nous comparons les effets d'un cours traditionnel à celui d'un dispositif de type serious gaming. Tout d'abord, nous cherchons à définir ce qu'est un cours traditionnel puis, en quoi consiste notre dispositif de serious gaming. De ce fait, une hypothèse est établie sur l'utilisation de ce type de dispositif dans le cadre d'un enseignement théorique. Plusieurs critères sont analysés : l'acquisition de connaissances, la motivation, l'attrait et l'apport pédagogique de chacune des activités. L'analyse révèle une transformation du rapport au savoir : le cours assure une stabilité académique fondée sur la mémorisation de concepts, tandis que le jeu favorise une intelligence situationnelle et une aptitude à organiser l'information de façon stratégique. Des compétences transversales (soft skills), absentes du cours traditionnel, sont développées et développées lors de l'activité de serious gaming. C'est dans cette perspective que nous proposons un modèle hybride associant cours traditionnel et serious gaming, deux approches complémentaires, afin de renforcer la résilience cognitive des étudiants tout en offrant un cadre d'apprentissage optimal.
