Abstract

Il y a trente ans, Benjamin Coriat écrivait un ouvrage remarqué, Penser à l'envers. Son objet d'étude ? Le toyotisme, ce système de flux tirés, où le producteur, sans le filet des stocks, doit être agile et maîtriser la qualité de production pour s'adapter en temps réel aux variations erratiques de la demande. Il montrait que ce modèle constituait non seulement une rupture par rapport à la pratique classique des flux poussés, fondée sur la planification et la constitution de stocks pouvant masquer des non-qualités, mais qu'il supposait une révolution dans les façons de penser le fonctionnement des usines, des chaînes de valeur et des rapports aux clients. Toutes choses égales par ailleurs, aujourd'hui, le management circulaire exige une révolution de la même ampleur par rapport au modèle dominant du management linéaire. Imaginons le dialogue avec son conseil d'administration d'un dirigeant d'une grande entreprise résolu à engager une révolution circulaire.
