The Socio‐organizational Conditions for Innovation

Abstract

This chapter looks at Israel's unique case in terms of innovation and talent management. The analysis of innovation management methods enabled us to identify several factors boosting its development. Israel's ecosystem is the fruit of a high level of cultural diversity, individual accountability and out‐of‐the‐box thinking, as well as strong cooperation between the public and private sectors, high‐level educational infrastructure and a solid capacity to invest in innovation. In the Israeli world of innovation, creating a favorable human environment is considered a prerequisite for any technological innovation process. It provides some examples relating to French experiences. Innovation can greatly benefit from the Israeli experience and its fine‐tuned management of time pressure, alternating more and less demanding periods. The chapter finally offers companies a summary of the answers they can come up with in their own context.
