Abstract

Cet article explore un paradoxe peu étudié dans la littérature sur la motivation entrepreneuriale : le choix, par certains entrepreneurs volontaires, d'exercer une activité relevant de secteurs traditionnellement associés à l'entrepreneuriat contraint. L'analyse des entretiens menés auprès de 20 entrepreneurs révèle que, pour une partie de ces entrepreneurs volontaires, le choix du secteur s'appuie sur la recherche d'émotions positives, plutôt que sur des considérations strictement économiques ou stratégiques. Ce résultat conduit à proposer une nouvelle catégorie conceptuelle, l'entrepreneuriat de plaisir, qui transcende la dichotomie traditionnelle entre entrepreneuriat contraint et volontaire. L'étude invite ainsi à un renouvellement des grilles de lecture des motivations entrepreneuriales, en intégrant la dimension hédoniste comme moteur possible de l'action entrepreneuriale, y compris dans des secteurs réputés peu attractifs.
