Trumponomics : Les effets de la politique économique de Donald Trump

Abstract

Cet article analyse les grandes orientations de politique économique mises en oeuvre par Donald Trump pour son second mandat. L'augmentation des droits de douane et les baisses d'impôts inscrites dans la loi budgétaire votée en juillet 2025 constituent les éléments clés de la politique économique américaine pour les années à venir. Sur le plan monétaire, Donald Trump manifeste une tentation croissante d'exercer une influence sur les décisions de la Réserve fédérale. À court terme la croissance ne devrait pas être plus élevée et l'inflation repartirait à la hausse, ce qui peut se traduire par une baisse du pouvoir d'achat, surtout pour les ménages les moins aisés. À plus long terme, la politique de développement de l'intelligence artificielle devrait être favorable à la croissance potentielle. Mais cet effet pourrait être contrebalancé par un ralentissement de la population active amplifiée par la politique migratoire.
