Abstract

La notion d'impact, enjeu majeur en sciences de gestion, est aujourd'hui utilisée par de nombreux chercheurs, décideurs politiques et acteurs de terrain, avec des définitions variées et pour des usages pluriels qui dépassent la seule évaluation d'impact. Les guides méthodologiques, les auto-évaluations en ligne (tel l'Impact Score), se multiplient et de nombreuses entreprises s'identifient comme « une entreprise à impact ». Face à un tel engouement pour cette notion, il est important de mieux la définir, la comprendre, et d'identifier les avantages et les risques de son usage. Doit-on en sortir ? Quelles seraient les alternatives ? Pour répondre à ces questions, nous reviendrons sur la notion d'impact, son origine et ses usages. Puis nous justifierons notre proposition de « sortir de l'impact » à partir d'une analyse des risques de ces méthodes, en particulier pour les organisations de l'économie sociale et solidaire (ess) qui bénéficient de subventions publiques. Enfin, nous aborderons d'autres approches alternatives à celle de la mesure d'impact, systémiques et coconstruites par une diversité d'acteurs, notamment à partir de la notion d'utilité sociale.
