Abstract

Multinational enterprises (MNEs) are increasingly collaborating across sectoral boundaries for sustainable value creation, yet research on trisector initiatives in conflict-affected settings remains limited. This qualitative study focuses on two cross sector collaborations in Nigeria. We examine how relational processes and collaborative infrastructures are co-constructed across boundaries. We find that violent contexts require the deliberate orchestration of distributed boundary activities and actors across multiple levels and over time. We propose a framework of boundary spanning orchestration that highlights how repair work is crucial for including marginalized voices, which are essential for sustained value creation.
