Abstract

Teleworking is now a widespread form of organization. However, it can be detrimental to teleworkers, in particular by impoverishing their exchanges and damaging their health, performance and commitment. To remedy these risks and encourage constructive communication in teleworking situations, the development of work discussion spaces (WDSs) appears to be an interesting avenue. Based on a survey of French Social Security employees (N=1315), we conducted a structural equation regression analysis. Our results show that the more frequent and well-perceived WDSs are by teleworking employees, the better their well-being at work, job performance and organizational commitment, and the lower their burnout.
