Abstract

Cette étude de cas, ancrée dans un contexte historique authentique, met en lumière le rôle essentiel des mineurs de fond dans le développement économique et industriel de leur pays aux XVIIe et XVIIIe siècles. Elle explore à la fois les stratégies d'attraction et de rétention développées par les propriétaires des mines que les dures réalités des conditions de travail de ces ouvriers. En établissant des parallèles avec les enjeux actuels du marché de l'emploi et les stratégies de « marque employeur », cette analyse offre une perspective unique sur la manière dont un « country specific advantage » se construit et se consolide sur le long terme.
