Abstract

This communication aims to better define what a territorialized agri-food sector is and to understand the mechanisms allowing the emergence and sustainability of such sectors in the territories. In order to describe the dynamics and characteristics specific to these sectors (technological and organizational choices, types of products, scale, meaning and values put forward by the actors), we base ourselves on six case studies, at the rate of two per territorialized sector studied: wheat-bread, market gardening-vegetables, beef. The analysis of these six case studies makes it possible to draw an initial series of conclusions regarding territorialized sectors. First, it appears that these sectors are heterogeneous in nature from the point of view of their dimensioning. Moreover, it appears that the question of meaning and values is significant for the actors involved in the territorialized sectors.
