Abstract

Les recherches sur le leadership en milieu scolaire se sont longtemps focalisées sur le rôle du chef d'établissement, omettant le rôle potentiel des enseignants. Les études anglo-saxonnes et nord-américaines définissent le leadership enseignant comme l'influence exercée par ces derniers auprès de leurs collègues et de la communauté éducative. La distribution du leadership à cette catégorie d'acteurs pourrait permettre de renforcer l'attractivité du métier, d'améliorer les pratiques pédagogiques et d'encourager les dynamiques collectives. Cette revue de littérature explore les définitions du leadership enseignant, ses antécédents et ses conséquences. Elle met en lumière la nécessité d'étudier ce phénomène dans le contexte français, où les différentes mutations du système éducatif interrogent le fonctionnement des établissements publics locaux d'enseignement.
