Abstract

Cet article propose la construction d'un indicateur synthétique du niveau d'équipement des ménages (NEM) en Nouvelle-Calédonie à partir des données des recensements de la population. En combinant quatorze variables relatives aux conditions matérielles de vie (équipements du logement, accès aux réseaux, biens durables, motorisation, accès au numérique), les auteurs mobilisent une analyse en composantes principales (ACP) afin de produire une mesure agrégée permettant de comparer les situations individuelles et territoriales.
