Abstract

Networks and platforms become increasingly important for organizing firms' value chain activities in the digital economy. Specifically, due to the growing digitalization of business models, coordination through interfirm networks and platforms will increasingly replace coordination through internal hierarchies. The current volume presents new empirical and theoretical findings on management and governance of networks and platforms in the digital business environment.
