Abstract

Cela fait près de 50 ans que le principe « à travail de valeur égale, salaire égal » a été inscrit dans la loi. Pourtant, à travail égal, les femmes sont encore généralement payées 9 % de moins que les hommes. Les optimistes diront que l'écart est déjà moindre qu'il y a 46 ans, lorsque la loi fut votée. Les réalistes se demanderont toutefois pourquoi la loi n'est pas encore totalement appliquée. Si l'on observe les différences de rémunération, sans comparer à travail égal, l'écart est bien supérieur, de l'ordre de 20 %. Mais la discrimination salariale est-elle vraiment en baisse ?
