Abstract

Comment lutter contre les stéréotypes au sein des entreprises ? Dire à l'ensemble des collaborateurs qu'ils ont tendance à porter un regard biaisé sur autrui est généralement contreproductif. Il n'est guère agréable de s'entendre dire que l'on verse dans le racisme ou dans l'âgisme par exemple. Du coup, une telle campagne de sensibilisation risque plus d'obtenir un retour de bâton qu'une évolution des comportements. Pour éviter une telle déconvenue, le discours répandu actuellement par de nombreux directeurs (ou directrices) de la diversité consiste à déculpabiliser sur le mode : « Faire preuve de stéréotype est le lot de tout le monde. C'est un phénomène universel contre lequel nous devons tous lutter, moi le premier. » Un tel message est-il plus efficace que le premier ?
