Abstract

Vibeke Nielsen, qui, comme son nom l'indique, est Danoise, s'est demandé si les traits généralement attribués aux hommes et aux femmes dans la sphère professionnelle (les femmes seraient plus empathiques que les hommes et ces derniers plus compétitifs que les femmes) étaient vérifiés chez les hommes et les femmes exerçant la même profession. Autrement dit, les métiers, par leur attractivité ou leur mode de sélection, gommeraient-ils les différences entre les sexes ? Par exemple, un enseignant se comporte-t-il de manière plutôt masculine et une enseignante de manière plutôt féminine ou bien se comportent-ils tout simplement selon une même représentation sociale du métier d'enseignant ?
