Le financement des économies africaines : les enjeux d’un sommet

Abstract

En 2020, l'Afrique subsaharienne a connu une récession exceptionnelle, qui fait suite à une croissance élevée enregistrée au cours de la dernière décennie. Elle doit en outre être rapportée à une croissance démographique élevée. L'année 2020 a ainsi représenté une baisse brutale du PIB par habitant du continent. Cette situation pose la question du financement des économies africaines, et des réponses susceptibles d'être apportées par la communauté internationale, et par les institutions financières internationales, à cette problématique. La France a notamment organisé le 18 mai 2021 à Paris un Sommet sur le financement des économies africaines, qui a réuni une trentaine de dirigeants africains (dont 22 chefs d'État et de gouvernement), de pays du G7 et du G20, et de dirigeants d'organisations internationales.
