Abstract

La pandémie de Covid-19 a bouleversé la planète : quels en sont les impacts en Afrique ? Les performances économiques restent à étudier au-delà du contexte immédiat : peut-on déjà parler d'une émergence du continent africain ? Pour développer le secteur privé, faut-il dépasser les seules réformes de l'environnement des affaires ? Quels sont les défis majeurs auxquels l'Afrique doit faire face pour répondre aux aspirations d'une population particulièrement jeune arrivant sur le marché du travail ? Alors qu'il est le premier pourvoyeur d'emplois dans la région, comment le secteur agricole en Afrique de l'Ouest doit-il se réinventer pour concilier deux objectifs fondamentaux : obtenir de meilleurs rendements et préserver la biodiversité et l'environnement ? À l'heure où l'ECO succède au franc CFA se pose à nouveau la question du choix du régime de change, vers plus ou moins de flexibilité.
