Abstract

Ce chapitre analyse l'économie circulaire (EC) comme alternative au modèle linéaire « extraire, fabriquer, jeter ». L'EC repose sur trois principes : éliminer les déchets dès la conception, maintenir les produits et matériaux en usage, et régénérer les systèmes naturels. Nous réalisons une revue de la littérature distinguant quatre niveaux d'analyse : macro, méso, micro et nano et nous soulignons les stratégies clés telles que l'éco-conception, l'approvisionnement responsable, la symbiose industrielle et la gestion de fin de vie. L'étude empirique menée dans le cadre du projet Indice de Circularité des PME Hauts-de-France (ICPME HDF) combine des entretiens qualitatifs auprès de 11 dirigeants et un questionnaire administré à 406 entreprises régionales. Les résultats du travail du groupe ICPME HDF montrent une volonté réelle d'engagement des dirigeants, freinée par les contraintes financières, réglementaires et comportementales. Les analyses statistiques distinguent trois profils d'entreprisesengagées, opportunistes et défensiveset elles mettent en évidence un lien positif entre ressources financières et degré d'engagement dans la transition circulaire.
