Abstract

La réforme de l'économie politique par Carl Menger (1840-1921), l'un des « grands maîtres » de la discipline et le fondateur de l'école d'économie dite « autrichienne », se caractérise par l'analyse conceptuelle, ce qui le rattache à la philosophie autrichienne du dernier tiers du 19e siècle, au point de faire quasiment de lui un philosophe (économique). Cet article revient sur les origines de sa réforme à partir des lectures d'Aristote et de Kant par le Viennois qui révolutionna en connaissance de cause sa discipline, qu'il fonda comme « science pure » .
