Abstract

Apparue en 1927 aux Etats-Unis d'Amérique avec la création d'une chaire à Harvard, l'histoire du Management commence seulement à émerger en France. Pourtant les auteurs français ont toujours beaucoup contribué à l'épistémologie de cette discipline fondamentale pour les entreprises, privées comme publiques. Cet article fait le point sur l'état de l'art en ce domaine et fait le constat amer que la part des auteurs français ou francophone dans les grandes histoires du Management reste marginale. Il faut donc faire un effort pédagogique et scientifique pour faire remonter cette proportion à un chiffre plus acceptable pour la francophonie. Et pour cela il faut impérativement faire des éditions critiques des textes classiques de cette discipline, aussi loin que nous pouvons remonter dans le temps.
