Abstract

Este libro discute una serie de teorías y prácticas en el campo de la economía solidaria. Su aporte más innovador es la demostración de que una perspectiva feminista puede transformar la comprensión de dicho campo. Esto es particularmente importante, ya que hasta el momento estas discusiones han ignorado las relaciones de género, aunque estas marcan profundamente las prácticas de economía solidaria, en las que las mujeres juegan un rol central. A través de una serie de análisis de experiencias concretas de organizaciones de mujeres y/o feministas en América Latina y la India, el libro aporta nuevo y valioso conocimiento acerca de temáticas vitales y arroja destellos de esperanza al mostrar espacios en los que el cambio social puede ser posible. De esta manera, contribuye a los debates teóricos y empíricos sobre la reproducción social y demuestra que esta temática es clave para la transformación del sistema global capitalista, patriarcal e inequitativo.
