Abstract

Cet article retrace les grandes étapes de la réflexion du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) sur le discernement moral des Églises. Il s'intéresse plus particulièrement à trois documents de travail publiés en 2021 qui s'inscrivent dans la suite d'un texte publié en 2013 ( Le discernement moral des Églises ) dont la méthodologie avait été remise en question. Le premier explore les traditions de discernement moral au sein des différentes Églises ; le deuxième examine les évolutions historiques de ces positions ; le troisième exploite les données recueillies dans les deux premiers pour tirer quelques leçons sur les pratiques du discernement moral des Églises qui nous situent au point de jonction de l'éthique et de l'ecclésiologie, mais dont les enjeux débordent le cadre ecclésial.
