Abstract

On this paper we will study the use of automatic and intelligent tools such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) for the hospital supply chain management (HSCM). In the age of Industry 4.0 and more, an increasing number of healthcare organisations are equipping themselves with new technology. On the one hand, this enables them to relieve some of the burden on healthcare staff, improve the quality of care, and free themselves from certain constraints such as fixed schedules or the painful nature of certain tasks. After a state of art, we are going to present our optimisation model works for planning electrical vehicle (EV) like AGVs for the supply chain of hospital systems. Compared to the literature, we offer a mathematical model that considers electric recharging possible only at the central depot and not at intermediate stations. Then we introduce our result, the limits of our model and we will discuss about possible extensions and the outlook for these issues.
