Abstract

Le compagnonnage représente un réseau d'acteurs opérant dans des métiers à très forte technicité, en formant les aspirants à ces métiers selon des modalités particulières, prétries à la fois de tradition et de modernité. Le compagnonnage a été inscrit au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'UNESCO en 2010 comme « réseau de transmission des savoirs et des identités par le métier. Ce cas propose un éclairage organisationnel de ce mouvement. Après un bref résumé de l'histoire du compagnonnage, le cas expose la manière dont le mouvement est organisé aujourd'hui, en se focalisant sur une présentation de sa structure, de sa culture. Le cas se concentre ensuite sur la question de l'innovation, et notamment sur l'articulation entre tradition et innovation dans un contexte de coopétition entre professionnels.
