Abstract

Le Design Science Research (DSR) est aujourd'hui présenté comme une voie prometteuse pour répondre aux grands défis sociétaux. Toutefois, la conception dominante, surtout anglophone, tend à réduire le DSR à une science appliquée, productrice de règles opératoires et de prescriptions, limitant sa portée. En s'appuyant sur une lecture plus fidèle à l'esprit de Simon, telle que développée dans la tradition francophone, cet article rappelle l'importance de poursuivre la réflexion sur le DSR pour en élargir les fondements : travailler plus étroitement avec les acteurs de terrain à travers des démarches de type path-creation design ; approfondir la réflexion sur l'activité même de conception afin d'enrichir les méthodologies de DSR ; poursuivre enfin l'effort d'interprétation de l'héritage simonien pour interroger la vision du paradigme DSR dans le domaine des systèmes d'information.
