Abstract

Les impacts financiers directs des manifestations touristiques et sportives ont été, jusqu'à présent, relativement peu étudiés. Cet article propose de mettre en évidence le tourisme sportif développé lors d'une manifestation urbaine et ses conséquences économiques. Après un rappel historique des analyses socio-économiques sur ce thème, nous prenons l'exemple des marathons en France pour illustrer cette évolution sociétale. À travers la construction d'une méthodologie massive et diversifiée, nous avons essayé de souligner dans un premier temps l'intégration des manifestations sportives dans une démarche touristique globale. Dans un second temps, nous tentons d'en mesurer très concrètement les conséquences et retombées économiques locales.
