Abstract

La dynamique de la mode, et singulièrement celle de la mode française, est profondément déterminée par l'existence d'un patrimoine. Cela résulte de ce que la mode est un monde de créativité et, qu'à ce titre, elle utilise le patrimoine comme gisement de créativité. Après avoir assuré l'hégémonie de la mode française, dans le cadre d'un modèle aristocratique de la mode (1), le patrimoine de la Haute Couture se trouve au centre d'enjeux essentiels liés au changement du paradigme de la mode, avec le passage d'un modèle aristocratique à un modèle marchand (2), et à l'annexion de la Haute Couture par les industries du luxe en formation (3). Les stratégies que développent les groupes financiers du luxe tournent en bonne part autour du contrôle stratégique de ce patrimoin et peuvent être qualifiées de stratégies patrimoniales (4).
