Abstract

La notion de leadership a fait l'objet, depuis plusieurs décennies, de nombreuses recherches dans le contexte particulier des établissements scolaires. Ces recherches, principalement d'origine anglo-saxonne, ont toutefois suscité un intérêt limité auprès des chercheurs français en sciences de gestion. Pourtant, la question des effets du leadership scolaire est un sujet de débats croissant, dans le champ de l'éducation en France. Cet article vise ainsi à apporter un éclairage sur le concept de leadership scolaire, sur sa mesure et sur ses caractéristiques. Dans cette perspective, une enquête par questionnaire a été menée auprès de 168 chefs d'établissement d'une même académie. Les résultats de cette enquête permettent de proposer une définition du leadership scolaire, une typologie de leaders scolaires ainsi qu'une échelle de mesure du leadership scolaire, dans le contexte français.
