Abstract

Anchored in a mixed research design, this study has a forward-looking dimension. It aims to understand the meaning given to the partnership with the patient in training and to explore managerial practices for its implementation by the Director of Care (DS) of training institutes. The quantitative survey carried out in France among the directors of training institutes was supplemented qualitatively by interviews with various players involved in this partnership. The results show that this type of partnership is still rare, despite the recognition of its many benefits. In addition, the DS's leadership in supporting project management has been identified as a lever for the deployment of this partnership. Ultimately, the praxeological and operational ambitions of the study contribute to proposing recommendations for the institutes' strategic project. The development of a strategy for implementing patient partnerships in training is the cornerstone of this paradigm shift.
