Abstract

Les représentations symboliques des systèmes d'information (SI) au cinéma s'inscrivent dans une double lignée scientiste et prométhéenne de mythes antérieurs à l'ère numérique. Les SI participent souvent à la diégèse et à la complexité des intrigues car ils enrichissent la marge de manœuvre des personnages. Ils se mettent au service de dérives managériales et de la déshumanisation des relations professionnelles, ou alors ils mettent en danger les libertés publiques et symbolisent alors la réalisation parfaite du panoptique. La représentation matérielle des SI pose un problème de dé-virtualisation. Ils sont présents dans le hors-champ ou à travers des interfaces et des effets matériels ou personnifiés à travers des symboles du vivant et de l'organisme.
