Abstract

Depuis le milieu des années 2000 en France, et plus encore depuis 2010, la mesure de la précarité énergétique fait l'objet d'une abondante littérature académique et professionnelle sur les données à partir desquelles elle est calculée. En quoi consiste la mesure de la précarité énergétique ? Quels sont les processus sur lesquels la mesure se fonde ? En adoptant une entrée par la littérature de la sociologie de la quantification, nous montrons que la mesure de la précarité énergétique est une activité qui repose sur une double « circulation » complexe des données et des métadonnées, et que l'appréhension de l'accès à l'énergie, dans ses données et ses indicateurs, se joue aux interstices de cette circulation.
