Abstract

Comment les entreprises assuraient-elles la sureté de leurs espaces avant les technologies de surveillance qui nous permettent aujourd'hui d'autoriser certains accès et d'en proscrire d'autres, de compter les individus entrants et sortants, et de détecter les départs de feu ? La question est d'autant plus captivante si l'on se place au tout début du XXe siècle - c'est-à-dire à l'heure de l'émergence du banditisme - dans une succursale prestigieuse de banque dont les coffres conservent d'importantes sommes d'argents et de bijoux précieux, et où des centaines d'employés viennent travailler quotidiennement. C'est grâce à l'étude de règlements intérieurs que nous pouvons redécouvrir les minutieuses stratégies mises en place.
