La passion joue-t-elle dans la réussite professionnelle des diplômés ?

Abstract

Selon les diplômés des écoles de commerce, il faut suivre sa passion pour réussir dans la vie. Néanmoins, suivre aveuglément une passion n'est pas toujours une bonne option. Imaginons un jeune diplômé qui se passionne pour les crèmes glacées et qui s'apprête à lancer son entreprise dans ce secteur. Comment réagir si la tendance de la clientèle potentielle s'oriente plutôt vers un mode de vie plus sain ? Va-t-il se rediriger vers le secteur plus diététique du yaourt glacé ? Ou sa passion pour les crèmes glacées va-t-elle le pousser à persévérer et le faire échouer ? Des recherches récentes publiées par des enseignants-chercheurs indiquent que la réponse à cette question pourrait dépendre de la façon dont les personnes vivent leur passion et de l'importance qu'elles accordent à leur rôle professionnel.
