French Tech : objectif 100 licornes en 2030, est-ce possible ?

Abstract

C'est à l'occasion d'une visite au salon Viva Technology qu'Emmanuel Macron a annoncé vendredi 17 juin 2022 qu'il souhaitait que la French Tech soit en capacité de « sortir » 100 licornes d'ici à 2030. Cet objectif est-il atteignable ? Si l'on s'en réfère aux chiffres, il existe 607 licornes aux Etats-Unis et 27 en France. Si l'on rapporte ces chiffres à la population totale respective de chacun des deux pays, il devrait y avoir environ 130 licornes sur le territoire français. L'objectif fixé par le président de la République ne semble donc pas a priori sorti du chapeau… Pour autant, l'objectif n'est pas si jouable que cela, car l'écosystème entrepreneurial américain et les capacités d'investissements ne peuvent être confondus avec celui de la France.
