Abstract

Résumé Le développement des pays d'Afrique subsaharienne (AfSS) nécessite une diversification de leurs économies. Pour employer les jeunes qui seront en âge de travailler d'ici 2050, il faudrait créer plus de 20 millions de nouveaux emplois tous les ans. Fondé sur une analyse de la dynamique de l'industrie mondiale et de la situation africaine, cet ouvrage propose une évaluation précise du potentiel réel d'industrialisation de l'Afrique à moyen terme dans le secteur manufacturier, en termes d'activité et d'emploi. Les évolutions structurelles de l'industrie mondiale ouvrent en effet de nouvelles opportunités qui, sans résoudre le défi de l'emploi sur le continent, peuvent alimenter son processus de diversification.
