Abstract

Cet article étudie la concurrence entre un « hypermarché », offrant deux produits indépendants aux consommateurs, et un « commerce de proximité », n'offrant que l'un des biens mais bénéficiant d'un avantage de localisation par rapport aux consommateurs. Nous montrons l'existence d'un équilibre en prix tel que l'hypermarché revend à perte le bien qu'il est le seul à offrir. Dans ce contexte, l'interdiction légale de la revente à perte peut être néfaste pour les consommateurs.
