Abstract

The profile for the summer 2023 European avocado season is set to be very different from the previous year. While the market was clearly more open at the start of the campaign, the export potential of the main protagonists in this counter-season campaign appears to be much bigger. We will also need to reckon with a US market still heavily laden with Mexican fruit, and with worldwide consumption weakened by the current inflationary context.
