Abstract

Dans quelle mesure l'apprentissage des métiers du bâtiment constitue-t-il un investissement en capital humain ? Cette recherche explore le lien entre formation sur les chantiers et capital humain, à une époque où l'éducation formelle domine. Pourtant, l'apprentissage informel reste une porte d'entrée vers l'emploi pour de nombreux exclus du système scolaire. Il permet d'acquérir des compétences valorisables, bien que souvent non certifiées. Loin d'être un simple apprentissage sur le tas, ces formations nécessitent une reconnaissance pour améliorer l'insertion professionnelle. Schultz et Becker insistent sur le rôle de l'éducation dans le capital humain, tandis qu'Akerlof l'associe aux salaires. Ici, le capital humain résulte des compétences acquises, mais dépend aussi de la motivation et de l'environnement d'apprentissage.
