Abstract

La transformation écologique du secteur du numérique est aujourd'hui entravée par la difficulté à identifier les solutions organisationnelles à implémenter. En analysant qualitativement les imaginaires écologiques qui sous-tendent les réponses environnementales de différents types d'organisations du secteur numérique, les auteurs proposent une démarche alternative aux enjeux de mesures quantitatives d'impact environnemental. Leurs résultats mettent en lumière quatre principaux imaginaires écologiques : l'efficience des ressources, le technosolutionnisme, la sobriété numérique et le numérique illimité. Ils montrent que des recoupements entre ces imaginaires, parfois incompatibles, se produisent et participent au retard des changements organisationnels face aux défis écologiques.
