Pics pour les séries statistiques bivariées

Abstract

Dans ce travail nous examinons les effets de pics dans des séries statistiques quantitatives discrètes, dûs aux concentrations des variables en question dans des sous-groupes de population. Le phénomène qui retient notre attention est la présence de pics dans les nuages statistiques. En un sens, ces pics peuvent être vus comme des défauts de la régression mais ils traduisent surtout la sensibilité accrue de la variable endogène à la variable exogène lors de la transition d'une sous-population à une autre. Après avoir présenté les sous-populations "à gauche ou à droite" d'un pic, on met en évidence les variables libres du problème. On fournit une inégalité nouvelle pour les coefficients de corrélation linéaire puis on introduit les polynômes dont l'annulation traduit un phénomène de pic.
