L'urgence climatique et la gouvernance mondiale : opportunité d'affirmation ou facteur d'effacement des BRICS ?

Abstract

Si certains blocs sont connus pour leur engagement commun pour la cause climatique, les BRICS sont confrontés à une rivalité de leadership écologique qui empêche le bloc de défendre des causes communes ou de s'affirmer clairement lors des rencontres diplomatiques et devant les instances judiciaires. Nous soutenons que le changement climatique, en tant que préoccupation existentielle, agit comme un révélateur des tensions politico-juridiques internes aux BRICS, et que l'absence de position commune fragilise la capacité du bloc à s'affirmer collectivement comme acteur géostratégique dans la gouvernance mondiale de l'urgence climatique.
