Abstract

Acheter d'occasion est une tendance sociétale majeure désormais largement ancrée dans le secteur des jeux et jouets. Or, avec la prise de conscience généralisée vis-à-vis des enjeux environnementaux et l'impact de l'inflation sur le pouvoir d'achat des familles, le jouet d'occasion ne s'achète plus uniquement "pour soi" ou dans le cadre exclusif de son foyer. Désormais, le jouet "s'offre" comme cadeau d'occasion. Cette recherche s'appuie sur une étude qualitative menée auprès de 20 parents. Au-delà des "réfractaires" qui n'envisagent pas d'offrir des cadeaux d'occasion, elle identifie une typologie avec 4 profils : les "dissimulateurs", les "dénicheurs", les "sélectifs" et les "valorisateurs". Des recommandations managériales sont proposées afin que les acteurs puissent se saisir de cette tendance et accompagner les consommateurs dans cette pratique émergente.
